What To Expect: Your First Dentist Appointment
For your first appointment, we recommend bringing the following materials:
- Photo ID.
- Dental insurance cards, if applicable.
- Preferred payment method.
- Dental records from previous practices, if applicable.
- Patient forms.
Having this documentation on hand will make your check-in process a lot simpler and quicker. However, don’t worry if you are missing something. Our friendly front-desk staff will ensure that we take the necessary information from you before your appointment begins. After you check in, you can relax in our comfortable waiting room until we call you back to the exam room.
During your dental exam, one of our team members will thoroughly evaluate your mouth and clean your teeth. We will evaluate your gums for gum disease progression and remove plaque buildup that could irritate your gum line. Once complete, one of our experienced doctors will examine you. He will review your dental problems and offer only the most relevant dental care services.
This is the perfect time to voice any dental concerns that you have. You can ask for more information on elective cosmetic procedures and dental treatments. If our doctors note any dental issues during your appointment, our doctors will provide a detailed treatment plan.
